At Covenant Community Church we love being a part of the Wexford community, and we invite you to come and be a part of our community this Christmas Season! There are many opportunities for you to experience the love, joy, and peace of Christmas with us. We’d be honored if your family began some new traditions with our family here at Covenant Community Church this Christmas Season.
During Advent we’ll take a look at some of the towns of Jesus, and what happened when he came to town. In looking at these narratives, we can see what our present should look like when Jesus comes to us, and a glimpse of what is to come when Jesus returns in his second coming. We live with expectant hope in the truth that regardless of where we have been and what we have done, the Gospel always finds its way to where we live.
Nothing announces the Christmas season like a Christmas Tree. Covenant Community Church is once again selling Christmas Trees. We will be selling a variety of trees and wreaths with all monies benefiting the work of our church. Hours: 12/1 - 11am - 5:00 pm 12/2 - 12pm - 5:00pm 12/8 - 11am - 5:00 pm 12/9 - 12pm - 5:00pm
As part of our Advent celebration, members of our congregation will present a Christmas Cantata on Sunday, December 16th at 4:00 PM. It is a simple narrative that will include songs from an adult choir, children's choir, and the Christmas story represented with six still life pictures. The program will have elements in both English and Spanish.
Join us for a traditional Lessons and Carols Christmas Eve candlelight service at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 24th. This is a simple service that recounts the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus with short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels. These readings are interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns, choir music, and a short homily.
We host an Annual Senior Christmas Luncheon for members of our church and the community. All seniors are invited to join us on Monday, December 10th at 11:30 AM. There will be a delicious catered lunch, music, and a gift exchange. Participation in the gift exchange is optional, but if you'd like to participate please bring a gift to exchange of no more than a $10 value. The luncheon is free of charge, but an RSVP to the church office is kindly requested by Thursday, December 6th.
